Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, Tyler Burns is a pastor, professional podcaster, TV show host, spoken word poet, writer, and cultural commentator. After studying broadcast journalism and philosophy at Liberty University, he has served on staff at his home church, New Dimensions Christian Center, for 10 years and is currently the Lead Pastor. He is also the Vice President of The Witness: A Black Christian Collective, a national organization committed to addressing the core concerns of the Black Community. And he currently serves on the operating staff of Chasing Justice, an international faith-based organization committed to justice advocacy work.
He has written for or been quoted in The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Christianity Today, The Witness, and Charisma Magazine, among others. He is routinely called upon to speak for and schools and churches on Black History and other topics surrounding youth empowerment.
In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his wife Mylena and their 2 kids, Trinity (2 years old) and Benaiah (6 months old).
